Rollei’s pro square filter range doesn’t just feature ND, GND and polarising filters but also includes storage boxes, a filter cleaner and four separate sizes of professional filter holders: 70 mm, 100 mm, 150 mm and 180 mm. Of course, once you’ve decided to use Rollei square filters you’ll need a matching holder system. The major advantage of using Rollei filter holders is the option they give you of using up to four photographic filters at the same time! Rollei’s versatile filter holders offer a light-tight seal and fit perfectly to a huge range of lenses. Each filter holder (with the exception of the 150 mm and 180 mm filter holder set) comes with a round polarising filter, and you can slot up to three additional square filters into the holder at the same time. While Rollei’s 150 mm and 180 mm Pro Square Filter Holder Set doesn’t include a CPL filter, a square polarising filter can be purchased separately. The polarising filter features the same high quality craftsmanship as Rollei’s other square filters – made from real glass (H-H9L) and finished on both sides with a nano coating. The Filter Holder Sets in the 70 mm and 100 mm sizes each include a variety of adapter rings as part of the package. The Filter Holder Set for 70 mm filters is the right system for lenses with a filter thread diameter of 52 mm or 58 mm. If you own lenses with diameters of 62, 67, 72, 77 and 82 mm, then you should choose the 100 mm Pro Filter Holder Set. The Filter Holder Sets for filter sizes of 150 and 180 mm are designed for use with specific lenses and can only be used with these models. This base ring is used to attach the filter holder to the lens. The base ring is screwed to the filter thread on the lens. The filter holder is then mounted onto the base ring. You can slot your Rollei square filter into the filter holder, fixing it in place with the thumb screw.
