This is a white straight adapter of G1 / 4-inch external to G1 / 4-inch female thread, which was designed specifically for the output of an Eheim 1048 pump.

Before screwing in the adapter, the sealing ring should be coated with a lubricant, as otherwise it could be pulled out of its groove and exerts too much pressure on the plastic ring of the pump in the upper area. Alternatively, it is sufficient not to fully screw the adapter, but only up to the rubber itself.
